Entara Launches Revamped Employee Wellness Program

Every initiative at Entara starts with alignment to our core values, Empathy, Evolution, Execution and Excellence, and our newly revamped 2022 Wellness and DEI Program is no exception. Launched in January 2022, the program encourages employees to exemplify our core values through tangible changes to their personal wellness and the wellness of their community.

We kicked off the program in January with monthly incentivized SMART goal setting focused on employees’ individual health journeys, whether the current focus be body, mind, family, relationships, finances, or community. At the start of each month, employees meet and commit to their selected wellness goals and then this session is followed by weekly support meetings to provide an opportunity for connection and accountability. January also marked the start of our weekly mindful meditation to support the emotional and mental health of our employees.

At Entara, we believe wellness means investing in not only our personal well-being, but in the health of our communities. In January, Entara recognized Martin King Luther Jr. Day as a firm holiday, encouraging employees to observe MLK Day as a day of service in honor of the civil rights activist. The firm incentivized this effort by matching employee charitable gifting or gifting in association with volunteer hours at an organization supporting diversity, inclusion, civil rights, and/or social healing. Employees shared their charity of choice internally through our Donate and Educate initiative for the collective celebration in our group investment.

Our DEI initiatives continued in February with Black History Month and in March with Women’s History Month. In each month we used data-driven awareness building, empathetic exercises, and trainings regarding microaggressions and biases. As a woman-founded and led company, we are committed to creating a space for the experiences, stories, and voices of historically marginalized communities. In our industry it is imperative to think about how women are treated in the STEM space, and we are committed to uplifting people from all backgrounds while educating ourselves on the systems and standards that cause disparities.

At Entara, we believe that focusing on the health of ourselves and our communities are all imperative to creating wellness within our firm. Outside of the above initiatives we also offer appointments with a financial advisor, unlimited flex PTO, remote positions, in-person and virtual events, and more. With our new wellness program, we hope to show our employees that we live and breathe our core values and are driven to make tangible improvements to their personal wellness as well as the wellness of our communities.
